​AUSTINTOWN Hoover’s Justin Smith ran for 64 yards and two touchdowns, but the Vikings were unable to contain Fitch’s high-powered offense in falling to the Falcons.

​Smith accounted for both of the Vikings’ touchdowns, while Austin Appleby passed for 126 yards for Hoover.

​Demitrious Davis led Fitch by passing for 111 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns.

​The Vikings were outgained on the ground 300-91. (1)

​Another game, another opportunity for the young Vikings to learn and grow as individuals and as a team. Down 42-6 at halftime, the Vikings could have packed it in and gone through the motions the second half, but to the credit of the Vikings and the coaching staff, that didn’t happen!

​Instead, the Vikings came out in the 3rd quater and played with heart and determination.

​They played for pride!
