PERRY TWP. — Carson Dyrlund accounted for 237 yards of offense and a touchdown as the Vikings won on the road in Federal League play. 

Dyrlund completed 18 of 28 passes for 157 yards and no interceptions, while rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. At 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the league, Hoover is tied for second place in the league standings with Lake, a half game behind McKinley. 

Luke Griguolo ran for two short touchdowns for Hoover. Mason Ashby caught 13 passes for 108 yards. Luke Roach added 99 yards on 20 carries. 

Jack McKelley had an interception for the Vikings, who held Perry (4-3, 1-2) to a season low in points and outrushed the wing-T Panthers 233-178. De’Andre Church ran for 85 yards and a TD on 18 carries for Perry. Joel Brown caught a TD pass from Austin Mattox and finished with six receptions for 68 yards.
