Hoover 23 - Louisville 16
NORTH CANTON – One of Stark County’s oldest rivalries resumed Friday. Hoover held off Louisville 23-16 in the 112th meeting of the teams. Hoover has won five consecutive games in the series and eight of the last nine games. The Leopards still lead the overall series 65-41-5.
Hoover’s Cole Rembielak recovered the onside kick attempt by Louisville. The Vikings came out and took a knee to end the game. Hoover defeats Louisville 23-16.
Tate Aljancic just made a 39-yard field goal for Louisville with 10 seconds left in the game. Hoover leads Louisville 23-16.
Cole Rembiealk scored a touchdown on a third-and-2 play with 1:24 to play. The extra point by Paul Koskovich was good. Hoover leads Louisville 23-13. The big play to set up the score for Hoover was a 40-yard run by Christian Friel.

Austin Wade caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Tate Aljancic with 2:44 to play to keep the Leopards alive. The extra point kick was no good. The 80-yard drive took just four plays and less than a minute off the clock. Hoover is clinging to a 16-13 lead.
John Collins scored on a key fourth-and-1 play to extend the lead for Hoover. Collins took the carry straight up the middle and did just enough to get into the end zone. The kick by Paul Koskovich was good. Hoover now leads Louisville 16-7 with 3:33 to go in the fourth quarter. The Vikings had possession of the ball for over eight minutes on that scoring drive.

Ashton Marshall just hauled in an impressive 30-yard touchdown pass over his shoulder from Tate Aljancic to give Louisville the lead. Aljancic added the extra point. Louisville leads Hoover 7-3 with 4:37 to go in the second quarter.
