Michael Lammlein helps North Canton football win road game

Hoover 18, Medina 14

MEDINA — Michael Lammlein ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries as Hoover won on the road.

Both of Lammlein’s touchdowns came in the first quarter for the Vikings (2-0), who also got 85 yards on 10 carries from Nolan Bonner. A broken hand suffered in the Week 1 win vs. Buchtel prevented Bonner from playing quarterback this week, so Ryan Kavanagh filled in and went 13-of-19 passing for 132 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Kavanagh’s 58-yard TD pass to Elijah Fryson late in the first half proved to be the difference for Hoover. Fryson caught four passes for 73 yards.

Adam Barr completed 23 of 37 passes for 235 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions for Medina (0-2). Barr added 50 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Ashton Knowles caught eight passes for 101 yards.
