Game Summary

Connor Ashby threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns to lead Hoover to a season-opening 33-14 victory at Brush.

Ashby connected with David Forrest on a 51-yard touchdown completion early in the third quarter to give the Vikings a 20-7 lead. He closed out the scoring with a 16-yard TD pass to AJ Vega.

Hoover’s Adam Griguolo rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown, a 31-yarder to open the scoring. Forrest caught three passes for 91 yards.

Jordan Cline also kicked a pair of field goals for the Vikings.
